Philippe received his law degree from the Université de Moncton in May 2022. Before returning to university to start a new career in the legal world, Philippe worked for just over 20 years in the field of communications. In particular, he worked as a journalist for the daily newspaper  L’Acadie Nouvelle for ten years (1999-2009), a period during which he covered the Moncton region, but also several provincial issues.

In 2009, he joined the Brunswick News team as editor-in-chief of French publications, which includes the various editions of L’Étoile, Le Madawaska, La Cataracte and La République. Philippe’s main task was to create a new brand for the Francophone newspapers of Brunswick News, under the banner of L’Étoile. He was also closely involved in the creation of two new publications, L’Étoile Provinciale and L’Étoile Péninsule.

In 2012, he became head of information at Radio-Canada Acadie, where he was responsible for the newsroom and various information programs in the four Atlantic provinces. Philippe returns to Brunswick News from 2018 to 2019, before embarking on a new challenge that will lead him to begin law studies in the fall of 2019.

Philippe is a simple and approachable person who likes to help people find solutions to their problems. He is also the father of two boys aged 10 and 18.
